This work stages a fractured, mask-like visage as a cartography of inner life, where planes of moss green, ash blue, and rust-red interlock like memories that refuse a single outline. The pale groundβscored with glyphs, numbers, and schematic marksβacts as a murmuring field of thought, turning negative space into an active chorus that both surrounds and penetrates the figure. Hard-edged geometry collides with softened washes, suggesting a psyche caught between control and drift, as if identity is continually assembled from symbols, signals, and half-erased histories. In this tension, the portrait becomes less a likeness than an archeological surface, inviting the viewer to read emotion as coded structure rather than confession.
