The About the Town Stitching Club combines embroidery and English paper piecing to make a super-cute embroidered mini quilt. The patterns are designed to work on a little bit at a time, so you can make this hand-stitched project in about eight weeks.
This project features seven embroidery patterns representing favorite spots you might visit in your hometown. In fact, the patterns might just map out a perfectly laid-back day! And actually, six of the patterns are made up of three smaller patterns that you can use together or separately. So technically, you get 18 small patterns, plus a center design.
Each pattern grouping fits on a 2-inch hexagon, and that's where the English paper piecing comes in. Along with the embroidered hexagons, you'll also make extra pieces, and everything will fit together to make a mini quilt that measures about 16 inches across.
