This work fractures the figure into armored planes, as if identity is being assembled and dismantled in the same breath—hard-edged contours holding back a more volatile interior. A deep cobalt and a smoldering red act like opposing pulses, anchoring the composition while the surrounding haze of scraped neutrals and ochres suggests memory, erosion, and the residue of lived experience.
