Drawing from the three-tiered necklaces seen in Mauryan sculptures, 'Kanair' dark green Varanasi silk brocade kurta features a toran-like floral jaal punctuated by gulkand pink meena. The brocade is woven through the Phekwa technique wherein the weft remains embedded in the warp, interlaced from selvedge to selvedge, creating surface textures of the base or zamin.
