Appletons has been manufacturing exceptional quality British wool threads for over 178 years. Appletons Crewel Weight Wool is a 100% pure wool non-divisible single strand 2-ply thread that is moth-resistant and finer than tapestry wool. The slightly fuzzy appearance gives your projects beautiful texture with a luxuriously soft feel. Two strands of crewel wool are approximately the same thickness as size 5 perle cotton thread. Excellent for hand embroidery, crewel and needlepoint projects.
