This work stages a suspended horizon where bands of ash-grey and cobalt glide past one another like drifting weather systems, their soft blurs interrupted by crisp, architectural cuts. Along the lower register, a constellation of raised marks and scattered chromatic flecks reads as shoreline debris or distant lights, giving the surface a tactile memory that counters the painting’s calm. The small boats with red sails, nearly swallowed by mist, become quiet emblems of persistence—human presence reduced to signals—suggesting a meditation on navigation through uncertainty, where clarity arrives only in fragments.
