Untitled 4 (The Inner Journey)

This work stages a frontal, mask-like visage as a silent threshold between the human and the archetypal, its features half-revealed through bruised blacks and rubbed textures that feel like memory pressed into paper. A thin ember-red axis runs down the figure, a ritual seam that sutures fracture to coherence, while birds and botanical notations orbit the body like witnesses—messengers of instinct, migration, and return. The interplay of dense, inked obscurity with airy negative space creates a charged stillness, as if the subject is both emerging from and dissolving back into ancestral terrain. In this suspended state, identity reads less as portraiture than as an invocation: a being composed of traces, talismans, and the persistent hum of nature at the edges of consciousness.
