Brauer Motion takes panning into a new world of spherical motion that goes beyond conventional left/right panning. Now sounds can move within a mix
whether as a subtle
psycho-acoustic effect applied to pads and reverb
or extreme roller-coaster movement that spins and energizes.
Created with Grammy® winner Michael Brauer—who is famous for his use of space on mixes for Coldplay
Florence & the Machine
and John Mayer—this plugin is all about creative inspiration. It’s like no other tool in your toolkit.
Space—the Final Frontier
The right use of space can quickly take a mix from dull to exciting. Yet unlike EQ
dynamics
or reverb/delay
using motion to enhance mixes is relatively unexplored. By incorporating flexible
novel
sophisticated auto-panning
Brauer Motion provides a new dimension to mixes.
Place Your Vocals Perfectly
Move background vocals around
to keep the center open for the lead vocal. Keep a dry sound in one place
and rotate processed sound around it. Use the sidechain to place one sound’s position by another sound.
Don’t Let Your Percussion Be Static
Add spherical motion to percussion sounds like h-hats or shakers
to prevent them from sounding static. With two panners and sync-to-tempo
the panning can be subtle
or even create polyrhythmic panning that reinforces the rhythm.
Add Excitement and Life to Pads
Just as the regular motion of ocean waves creates a feeling of peace
motion in pads can do the same. Or
add a more rhythmic quality to the panning
to impart excitement and passion to the sound.
