This abstraction unfolds like a weathered palimpsest, where warm ochres and earthen browns hold the memory of buried terrain while brisk, chalky whites scrape across the surface as if erasing and revealing in the same breath. The composition is driven by diagonals and scumbled veils that fracture space into shifting planes, creating a restless tension between density and air, presence and absence. Flecks of deep, almost charred pigment punctuate the field like anchors of gravity, suggesting resilience amid abrasion. In its push-pull between raw materiality and luminous clearance, the work reads as a meditation on time’s insistence—how experience accumulates, is overwritten, and still persists as trace.
