A searing gradient of yellow into ember-red floods the surface like a rising heat, turning the picture plane into an atmosphere rather than a scene. Within this furnace of color, human forms appear in stacked, frieze-like bands—half-emerging, half-erased—suggesting a collective body caught between ritual procession and anonymous crowd. The soft dissolving edges and soot-dark accents create a tension between illumination and obscurity, as if memory itself is being scorched into visibility. What results is a meditation on endurance: figures held together by proximity and pulse, yet continually threatened by the consuming light that defines them.
