'Chakhar' maroon Varanasi silk brocade kurta features an all-over geometric placement of archival floral butas. It is woven with the elaborate Kadwa technique where each motif is woven individually utilizing an extra weft insertion, and the reverse of the textile reveals the absence of thread floats. It is paired with the 'Kirori' brocade sharara.
This handwoven textile reflects natural variations within yarn, color, weave and/or embroidery.
The kurta is paired here with the 'Kaushambi' odhani.
Odhani is not included.
