This work stages an intimate confrontation between the monumental profile of an observing face and a procession of intricately rendered deities, as if devotion itself were being examined at close range. The dense, rhythmic linework—ornamented like scripture—compresses mythic narrative into a single breath, while the flat fields of saffron yellow and vermilion red create a ceremonial light that feels both festive and urgent. A sinuous black contour threads through the scene like a veil or threshold, suggesting the mind’s passage between inner vision and outward icon, where reverence becomes a lived, tactile experience rather than a distant tale.
