Believed to have originated in Rajasthan, the Gota patti or gota work appliqué technique involves cut zari ribbons applied onto the textile with the edges sewn down to create patterns as surface ornamentation.
'Janak' lime green sheer organza kurta with silk border and lining features Gota and Dori kaam that draw from the classical Indian architectural feature - Jharoka. It is worn here with satin silk ‘Desna’ churidar.
The kurta is paired here with the 'Kirati' odhani.
Odhani worn by the model is not included.
Natural variations in colours and weave are part of the textile.
