A phenomenal collectorβs piece, this Emor globe radio from 1947 is in working order. It was designed by Mechal Rabinowicz for the Emor Radio Company, London, and has a chrome finish and Am/Sw. The same model is found in the collection of the esteemed Victoria and Albert Museum in London. The chrome-plated globe with top vented speaker grille has an equatorial dial, raised on a chrome-plated column with 'S, M, T' settings on a cast iron base. The globe radio is operated by turning the whole body whilst an internal stationary light indicates on the tuning band where the setting is.
