Forgotten Self

This artwork tells the story of a woman who gives her entire life to her family—her love, her time, even her identity—in an effort to hold everything together and make life smoother for those around her. Slowly, parts of her begin to disappear. Her own dreams, her name, her story start to fade, until what remains is how she is known—as someone’s wife, someone’s mother, someone's daughter.
This piece is a tribute to her silent strength—a quiet acknowledgment of all that she gives, and all that she gives up, often without being seen.
