A flat-weave wool dhurrie in beige and grey, the geometry held in the contained, modular vocabulary that flatweave does best. Dhurries are the workhorses of Indian floor covering β woven flat without pile, lighter than knotted carpets, easier to shake out, suited to traffic. This one comes from Imperial Knots, woven in Bhadohi since 1977 by carpet artisans of the Uttar Pradesh tradition, where the technique has passed master-to-apprentice for generations. The neutral pairing reads cool or warm depending on the light a room gets. A quarter-inch pile, 100% wool.
