 UNDERCOVER（アンダーカバー）の2004年秋冬コレクション「But Beautiful期」のナポレオンジャケットです。このシーズンはフランスのぬいぐるみ作家、アン・ヴァレリー・デュポン（Anne-Valérie Dupon）の作品へのオマージュとして作られており、手仕事の温もりや歪な美しさが表現されています。

フロントやカフス、エポレット、ポケットフラップに至るまで、紋章、星、アンカー（錨）、フルーツなど、デザインやサイズ、柄が異なる多種多様なアンティーク調のボタンがランダムに、かつ緻密に配された唯一無二のギミックデザイン。フロントはジップアップ構造になっており、襟元や裾、ポケットの縁などにはクラフト感のあるテープパイピングが施されています。内側は中綿入りのストライプキルティング仕様となっており、保温性にも優れています。

The entire collection was conceived as a profound homage to the French soft-sculpture artist Anne-Valérie Dupon, translating her signature stuffed-animal aesthetic into high-fashion tailoring.

The garment features an intricate, avant-garde napoleon design punctuated by a vast array of mismatched antique-style buttons. Each button boasts a unique emblem—ranging from heraldic crests, stars, anchors, to textured fruits—arranged with deliberate asymmetry across the front closure, cuffs, epaulets, and pocket trim. Constructed with a central zip-up closure hidden behind a structured placket, the jacket is detailed with distinctive raw-edged tonal piping along the edges.
