Woven in fine mul cotton in a tight red and white check — the red leading, the white giving it space — this saree is consistent and confident from the first pleat to the last edge of the pallu. No separate border. No contrast design. Just the check, all the way through, ending in a row of small red handmade tassels that swing at the pallu hem.
