This sculptural tableau arranges a procession of hybrid figures—part human, part creature—whose striped garments and exaggerated features turn everyday identity into a playful masquerade. The low, horizontal spread across the dark plinth reads like a slow-moving narrative frieze, where each character’s posture suggests both labor and leisure, companionship and isolation. Muted earth tones and chalky whites are punctuated by small, decisive accents of red and blue, allowing the eye to hop from face to face as if overhearing fragments of folk tale. Beneath its whimsy, the work feels like an allegory of social roles—how we costume ourselves, carry our burdens, and still remain endearingly, stubbornly singular.
