Jatamansi Churna by Maharishi Ayurveda is used as a neuroprotective agent for the treatment of hysteria, epilepsy, insomnia, and convulsions. It is also known to possess an antidepressant activity that helps in the management of psychological disorders like depression, anxiety disorders, mental fatigue, panic disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorders.
Jatamansi Churna by Maharishi Ayurveda can be used in the following condition-

• Depression

• Anxiety disorders

• Panic disorders

• Insomnia

• Obsessive compulsive disorder

• Hysteria

• Epilepsy

• Convulsions

• Intestinal colic

• Headache

• Ulcer

• Memory loss

• Heart palpitation

• Bad body odor

• Loss of appetite

• Flatulence

• Bloating

• Abdominal distension
DOSAGE

Children – As per doctor’s prescription

Adults – 1000 mg to 3000 mg or as advised by the physician

(Take it twice a day with water after 2 hours of having meals)

SIDE EFFECTS:

Consuming excess amount of Jatamansi Churna (8 grams per day) can lead to

1. Nausea

2. Vomiting

3. Loose stools or diarrhea

4. Abdominal cramps

5. Frequent urination

CONTAINDICATIONS - Menorrhagia - Jatamansi has emmenagogue action, so it promotes menstrual flow.

PREGNANCY & LACTATION:

Pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid the use Jatamansi Churna.
