Peacock Finial

An unconventional find from Kerala, this exquisite finial (an ornament on top of an object) would have been part of a lamp used in the worship of Lord Murugan, also known as Lord Kartikeyan, the Hindu God of War. Cast in bronze, the old collectible features a well detailed and beautiful figure of a peacock. Mounted on a wooden base, the piece is in good condition, having undergone only normal time related wear.
