Lota (Water Pot) with Parakeet Motifs

An exquisite piece from South India, this lota, or water pot, is cast in brass. Excellently crafted, the pot has intricate carvings all over its neck and base. The body of the pot is further engraved with delicate motifs of parakeets (a species of parrots). An old collectible, the pot is in good condition.
