GARLAND | 2024

Garlands are a profound symbol, meant to be received and embraced as a blessing. Their immeasurable abundance reflects a nation of well-wishers, worn by all genders, across the body, in homes and places of worship. This adornment remains a unifier, often made from the impermanence of nature. 

Garland - Festive 2024 explores these symbols through scale and form, inspired by their omnipresence; from the jhol of floral toran, construction of knotted and braided malas, and those depicted on Mauryan statues. Motifs are highlighted through Raw Mango’s introduction of embroidery on brocade, and contrast color appliqué. The festive collection features lehengas, saris, and kurtas in celebratory colors including gulkand rani - inspired by desi gulab, petal pink from lotus, the perfect mogra white, and raw green mango leaves.
