This work stages a weathered vintage car as a tender relic drifting through a haze of layered marks—stenciled numbers, faded symbols, and translucent washes that read like the sediment of memory. The composition anchors itself in the car’s warm, rusted browns against cool teal bands, where light feels less like illumination than a soft resurfacing of the past, coaxing form out of abstraction. A lone traffic cone punctuates the scene with contemporary caution, turning nostalgia into a measured pause—an emblem of how progress both guards and interrupts what we choose to preserve.
