The work is by Vasudeva Pandya, a leading artist associated with the Raja Ravi Varma Press, whose paintings helped define the visual language of Indian popular prints in the early 20th century. Pandya’s style—marked by graceful figuration, narrative clarity, and theatrical staging—is evident in the harmonious balance of figures and setting.
This print was published in Bombay by Shree Vasu Chitra Prakashan and reflects the continuation of the Ravi Varma aesthetic beyond the original Malavli–Lonavala press.
