YLI Silk #100 Thread is wonderful for hand applique - it's so fine, it just disappears into the fabric. This 100% Silk filament thread makes you look like an even better appliquer than you already are! The ideal thread for hand applique, basting and fine heirloom sewing. Works well with Size 12 Applique Needles or Size 10 Milliner Needles. You will need a filament style needle threader for this ultra-thin thread.

Hands down, this is my go-to thread to use when stitching down the binding to the back of quilts. The silk allows it to glide through with no knotting or tangles. And the stitches disappear with most binding colors (with the exception of black or navy) due to its neutral color. No matching needed. Highly recommend!
