This work stages the human body as both subject and collateral, tumbling through a fractured interior where beds, rails, and whirring fans become uneasy emblems of institutional routine. A bruised palette of maroons, smoky grays, and fevered ochres collides with a cold blue aperture at right, as if the promise of relief is perpetually deferred beyond the frame. The faint bureaucratic notations and ledger-like marks press against the painterly flesh, suggesting lives reduced to entries—care translated into paperwork—while the diagonal surge of forms turns stillness into a suspended, breathless crisis. In its layered opacity, the piece reads as a meditation on vulnerability under systems: intimacy, suffering, and resilience braided into one turbulent field.
