This artistic and botanical wonder in the form of a light upholstery/drapery fabric was inspired by the Nature Lab at the Rhode Island School of Design, a lending library of natural artifacts. Drawing on the specimens she found in the Lab, Pollack designer (and RISD alumna) Molly Haynes painted a series of highly detailed studies, which she then transformed into a playful yet structured layout reminiscent of a botanical diagram. The final fabric captures the intricate detail and delightful colors of the original artwork embroidered on a natural linen ground.
