Orient by Night Movie Poster

This is an original movie poster for Orient by Night, a 1962 Italian film directed by Roberto Bianchi Montero. Released in Italy as 'Notti Calde d’Oriente' and in English-speaking countries as Orient by Night, the film was presented as a “sexy nocturne” in the popular mondo documentary style of the period. The poster has a Hindi phrase "Masti ki Raatein" on it, which would have been added on to the poster for its released in Hindi-speaking belts of India. 
Mondo films, which emerged in the early 1960s, blended exotic imagery with sensationalist themes, catering to Western curiosity about foreign cultures. Orient by Night reflects this genre, combining staged sequences and documentary-style footage to evoke a provocative, atmospheric vision of the East.
