This monochrome abstraction stages a quiet drama of containment and release, where rigid, architectural blocks are breached by ribbonlike forms that twist as if searching for air. Veils of grey are dragged downward in rain-like striations, turning light into a slow seep that stains the surface and suggests time eroding certainty. The stark whites feel less like highlights than rupturesβbrief, lucid intervals that interrupt the paintingβs dense inertia and propose a fragile optimism within restraint. In the tension between hard partitions and supple curves, the work reads as a meditation on boundaries: what we build to protect ourselves, and what inevitably moves through.
