This artwork takes inspiration from the ‘deepmala’, a tower like structure which holds the multiple lights. The main shloka in black works as a light holder and the cluster of shlokas look like the light. The mantra inscribed in the artwork is:
शुभं करोति कल्याणम् आरोग्यम् धनसंपदा
शत्रुबुद्धि विनाशाय दीपज्योति नमोस्तुते
It translates to:
Shubham Karoti Kalyanam, Aarogyam Dhanasampada
Shatrubuddhi Vinashay, Deepjyoti Namostute
The meaning of the words is:
Salutations to the light of the lamp which brings auspiciousness, health and prosperity, and destroys the harmful.
