This work stages a tense dialogue between raw, atmospheric fields of crimson and soot and the cool, segmented arc that cuts through them like an engineered spine. The left margin’s repeated droplet forms read as a measured litany—marks of loss or purification—while the central darkness absorbs light, turning the surface into a site where memory smolders rather than clarifies. Flecks of acidic yellow and bruised green briefly ignite within the murk, suggesting resilience that persists in fragments, as if the painting is mapping an interior terrain where structure tries to hold what emotion keeps dissolving.
