Butterfly 828 Kerosene Lantern

The Butterfly 828 kerosene lantern is a 350 candlepower, single-mantle kerosene pressure lantern. It has the "rapid-fire" igniter, along with an alcohol preheater cup. The collectible set includes a lantern, funnel, alcohol dispenser and accessory/repair kit.
Made in Schott, Germany, this powerful lantern can light up a very large room with the brightness equivalent of three to four 100-watt light bulbs. The lanterns attain this brilliant brightness because they directly deliver pressurized kerosene vapour to the mantle, instead of burning liquid kerosene.
The box shows signs of wear from age and storage. The dimensions of the outer box are 7 x 7 x 16.5 inches, while the lantern measures 6.75 x 6.75 x 16 inches.
