Dear Diary,
Today, I discovered Instagram! Yes, this days been a long time coming or maybe it shouldnt have come at all. But I got the app on the phone and I think Ive found a new hobby! Ive spent a few hours putting up pictures I took around Mumbai, and the more I look at my page (or my grid, as Ive been told its called), it looks and feels like the perfect collage of my life, as it is. Its amazing how my most precious memories fit perfectly into the square format of this app and that it lets me share these memories with my friends, back home. It reminds me of how far Ive come and how far Ive yet to go. Ive decided to think of my life in quite the same way that Instagram views me - as a compilation of special memories, special places and special people. And thats how I know that although some days feel especially difficult, the journey here has been more than worthwhile.
