このコートは、JUNYA WATANABE MAN（ジュンヤ ワタナベ マン）の2022年秋冬コレクションで発表された、イギリスのバンドJamiroquai（ジャミロクワイ）とのコラボレーションアイテムです。コレクションの発表手段として、ただ静止したルックブックではなく、あえてジャミロクワイのMV(Virtual Insanity)を再現し、発表を行いました。

デザインは、軍用由来のモッズコート（フィッシュテールパーカー）をベースにしつつ、ジャミロクワイのフロントマンであるジェイ・ケイのアイコン的なスタイルを象徴するエスニックな要素が融合されています。最大の特徴は、伝統的なメキシコの毛織物である「Serape（サラぺ）」柄のテキスタイルが、コートのポケットやライニング、パッチワークの一部として大胆に取り入れられている点です。
ミリタリーウェアの機能性と、フォークロア調の色彩、そして音楽カルチャーへのオマージュが融合した、非常に個性的なコラボレーションアウターです。

This coat is a collaborative item from the JUNYA WATANABE MAN Fall/Winter 2022 collection, featuring the British band Jamiroquai. The collection was presented not merely through a static lookbook, but uniquely by recreating Jamiroquai's "Virtual Insanity" music video.
The design is based on the military-derived Mod Coat (fishtail parka), but incorporates ethnic elements that symbolize the iconic style of Jamiroquai's frontman, Jay Kay. The main feature is the bold integration of the traditional Mexican woven textile known as the "Serape" pattern, which is used on the coat's pockets, lining, and as part of the patchwork.
This highly distinctive collaboration outerwear fuses the functionality of military wear with the colorfulness of folklore and an homage to music culture.
