This work presents a fractured visage held together like an archaeological relic, its torn perimeter and pinned corners turning the portrait into an object of memory rather than mere depiction. Angular planes of ochre, bone-white, and bruised crimson intersect across the face, suggesting identity as a construction—assembled from repairs, scars, and competing narratives. Beneath the heavy, earthen reds, a surge of saturated blues opens a colder emotional register, as if the figure’s interior weather breaks through the surface and refuses containment. The hovering darkness around it isolates the image like an icon, inviting a quiet reckoning with endurance, vulnerability, and the geometry of selfhood.
