YANTRA is our newest collection of textiles created in collaboration with London-based designer Kangan Arora. YANTRAS, translated as 'machines' or 'contraptions,' are intricate mystical diagrams of geometrical shapes that carry symbolic meanings. These drawings are believed to bring auspicious benefits as they play a crucial role in meditative rituals within Jain, Buddhist, and Tantric traditions.
Patterns of interconnected squares form the foundation of the collection, and Arora utilizes a larger format to create Tetris-like blocks on the tea towels and oven mitts.
Crafted from a soft linen-cotton blend and screen-printed by hand using AZO-free dyes, this highly absorbent tea towel is a generous size and comes with a loop for hanging.
