The box inside the padded envelope was completely crushed and the chain broken so that the medal and some beads were loose inside it. I've decided to keep it and may attempt to repair it in the future. In the meantime, I've ordered the brave beads tenner as it looks a little more robust and able to withstand what has apparently become an arduous journey.
