This work stages a temple courtyard as a corridor of time, where carved colonnades and a distant gopuram hold the weight of history while small figures animate the present with quiet, everyday devotion. A sharp diagonal of shadow slices across the stone paving, turning light into an architectural force that choreographs the viewerβs gaze toward the sunlit greenβan island of breath within monumental austerity. The warm earth tones of weathered masonry, set against a bleached sky, suggest endurance and reverence, as if the site itself is both shelter and witness. In the balance between vast, engraved stone and human-scale movement, the painting meditates on how sacred spaces are continually remade by those who pass through them.
