This work stages a quiet archaeology of the automobile, where disassembled body panels and a half-restored sedan sit like relics suspended between usefulness and abandonment. The airy washes of beige and slate allow the paper to breathe, while decisive ink contours and clipped shadows give the metal a brittle weightβsuggesting timeβs slow corrosion as much as human repair. By cropping the scene into overlapping fragments of chassis and chrome, the artist turns a mundane yard into a meditation on memory, labor, and the tender persistence of trying to make the broken whole again.
