We do not believe regular Corn Flakes is a healthy product as it has does not have the requisite levels of dietary fibre and is high on the Glycemic Index.

The Glycemic Index (GI), simply put, is a measure of how quickly a food causes our blood sugar levels to rise. The measure ranks food on a scale of zero to 100. Foods with a high GI, are quickly digested and absorbed, causing a rapid rise in blood sugar. These are typically high in processed carbohydrates and sugars. Meanwhile, foods with a low GI are digested and absorbed at a slower rate, and subsequently, cause a slower rise in blood sugar levels.

Oligofructose is a naturally occurring soluble fibre essential for maintaining a beneficial balance of bacteria in the lower gut. A balance of good bacteria in the gut has many proven benefits including lower chance of colon cancer, better absorption of nutrients, lower cholesterol, better glucose metabolism and better immune health.

We recommend that Bagrry’s Corn Flakes Plus be stored in a cool, dry & odour free place. Once opened, it is important to store contents in a well-sealed container to eliminate the risk of infestation and to retain freshness.
