Deepalakshmi

An auspicious element in Hindu tradition, Deepalakshmi is a representation of Goddess Lakshmi, holding a lamp or a ‘deepa’ (diya) in her hands. Featuring a lamp that can be lit, a Deepalakshmi is a symbol of good luck and prosperity, and the light that guides one in times of darkness and adversity.
Made in bronze, this exquisite Deepalakshmi, most likely from Karnataka, features Goddess Lakshmi holding a single diya. There is a slight blemish on the back of this old collectible, which is otherwise in good condition.
