White holds light differently from every other colour. Nurani knows this.
Woven in fine white Jamdani cotton, this saree carries scattered red butti motifs across its body β small arrows and diamonds placed by hand on the loom, one thread at a time. A red border runs clean and simple along the full length. And the pallu arrives in full voice: dense horizontal red stripes with larger geometric diamond motifs between them, the complete Jamdani weaving vocabulary in bold red on white. White fringe finishes the edge.
Jamdani is not a print. It is a weave β recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Each butti and each stripe in this saree was formed on the loom itself, thread by thread. What looks effortless took days to make.
The fabric is fine and slightly sheer β it drapes loosely, catches the light, and moves with remarkable ease.
Wear it to Durga Puja, Saraswati Puja, a cultural evening β or with a grey blouse and silver jewellery for something quietly, unexpectedly modern.
