This work constructs a quiet architecture of memory—rectangular echoes and vertical scars suspended in a veil of milky whites and weathered greys, as if the image has been repeatedly erased and re-inscribed. The composition balances weight and absence: dense, bruised passages of umber and charcoal anchor the surface while broad fields of light open into contemplative silence. Its softened edges and granular textures suggest time’s abrasion, turning structure into sensation and inviting the viewer to read the painting not as a place, but as a residue of lived space.
