Uprights and EPs is a stack of 11 of our favorite vintage electric pianos and uprights from the studio. We hammered the strings we added felt to the upright we put overhead mics on electric keys we left one piano a little out of tune and we even sampled the chorus on one of our favorite old keyboard synths. Fender Rhodes Wurlitzer 200A Yamaha CP 70-B & CP-30 and 3 different upright pianos give you the tools you need to create inventive new tones. Real instruments in real spaces with all the functionality of a synthesizer with full effects. When we were on the road we missed all those old keyboards and real pianos that were sitting back in the studio collecting dust. We decided it was time to put all our favorite piano sounds in one place Uprights and EPs. Vintage keys uprights tube preamps ribbon mics large diaphragm condenser mics and a few special overhead mic and felt techniques later we developed a product that contains 11 of our favorite sounds sampled on every single note at 3-5 unique velocities. Use them as solo instruments or blend them in infinite configurations to create brand new hybrid tones. A fully customizable arpeggiator gives these analog tones the functionality of a synthesizer with all the character and electric and acoustic piano instruments. Shape the tone with AHDSR and a filter of your choice before it hits 3 custom shaped LFO’s: Gain Pitch and Filter. Finish crafting your sound with 5 onboard effects. UNIQUELY SAMPLED

There are so many sampled instruments on the market made to replicate that instrument as if it were brand new and out of the box. We’ve used a lot of them and have found them to be useful. We want something different. We want the grit the fretbuzz the subtle clank of the hammer on string. We embrace the imperfections. We want the vibrations of sound wandering in and out of phase and tune. We also made the decision not to skip any notes when we sampled these instruments so what you get on each key is the full scope of that instrument’s sonic integrity without pitch shifting to save time. Nightfox Audio bring this uniqueness. Our plugins bring sound combinations no one has ever heard before while staying true to the organic nature of each instrument.
