A lone dragonfly buzzed lazily over the lily pads, its gossamer-like wings radiating all the colours of the rainbow. The air was heavy and felt slightly sticky against her bare shoulders. In the distance, she could hear the cacophony of nameless tiny insects and, occasionally, the plaintive cry of a koel. It was a scene straight out of a picture book “ so tranquil and beautiful that something within her told her to put down the camera and preserve it in a snapshot of her minds eye. It was the kind of place where minutes melted into hours and hours into days end. Surely, this was what wonderland felt like.

Handloom cotton is handwoven by our weavers by hand on mechanical looms. The process is time and labour-intensive, using techniques that have been passed down across generations of artisans. The resultant fabric is extraordinarily soft, breathable and resilient, and also drapes very well. Using handloom cotton not only helps us to work with smaller weavers but also plays an important role in reducing the environmental footprint of the garments we produce. These dresses also feature delicate hand-embroidered details to make each piece truly memorable.
