Orange Blossom: Citrus Aurantium can be processed in different ways: using volatile solvents to obtain orange blossom absolute, or steam distillation to obtain neroli oil. Orange blossom absolute is used in the middle and base notes, as it brings out sunny floral tones that can be fresh or intense, honeyed and animalic. Neroli oil is much more citrusy and green, and is used in the top and heart notes of a fragrance. It is often associated with the scent of sun-dried sheets and spiced madeleines.

Lavender: Native to the Mediterranean, lavender was a prized scent since Roman times for its ability to freshen linen, freshen breath, and antiseptic properties. Francis Kurkdjian favors lavender absolute, which is extracted using volatile solvents. Its aromatic, herbaceous notes are reminiscent of shaving cream and sun-warmed hay, and it is used in the middle and base notes of a fragrance.

Amber Wood Accord: An accord created by Francis Kurkdjian, combining woody notes of cedarwood with a soft amber structure (mainly composed of cistus labdanum and vanilla). A contrasting but well-balanced accord.
