This work distills the riverbank into a quiet theatre of ritual, where small human presences are held against the monumental calm of stepped stone and the ceaseless, molten movement of water. Warm ochres and honeyed browns dominate the surface, turning reflections into a living, calligraphic field that both obscures and remembers the figures—suggesting how daily acts dissolve into collective time. The composition’s low horizon grants the river a near-total authority, while sparse accents of cloth and vessel punctuate the scene like humble offerings, balancing intimacy with the anonymous continuity of place.
