



Set against an uncompromising field of green, two simplified figures are held in a taut choreography, their bodies reduced to contour and block so that gesture becomes the primary language. The long diagonal staff cleaves the scene like an axis of will, turning the encounter into a study of balance—between play and strain, intimacy and distance—while the harlequin-patterned cloth introduces a flicker of theatricality, as if identity itself were a costume in motion. Flat planes of cobalt, ochre, and black refuse naturalistic depth, creating a charged, emblematic space where emotion reads as color pressure rather than facial expression. In this deliberate withholding of detail, the work suggests that human connection is most legible not in features, but in the angles we lean, the supports we grasp, and the rhythms we negotiate together.
