Drawing from the Art Deco movement of the decorative arts and architecture that originated in the 1920s and developed into a major style during 1930s - the namesake collection features shapes and forms with “streamlined” woven ornamentation that is geometric and stylized.
'Chrysler' Varanasi silk brocade black sari features all-over gold zari weave with symmetrical arch-like forms. The sari is finished with a gold border and charcoal facing with satin silk piping along the border.
Blouse worn by the model is not included.
Natural variations in colours and weave are part of the textile, as it is handwoven.
